The Show Went On Even Without Me

Discover how the Think and Drink community came together to keep the event thriving despite my unexpected absence. A powerful story of leadership, resilience, and the strength of community-driven networking.

Last week, I was supposed to pitch at Think and Drink. It was a special night. Usually I host, but this time I was going to step into the spotlight and share something of my own.

But life had other plans.

I had a serious family emergency that pulled me away at the last minute. It was one of those moments where you have no choice but to step back, even from the things you love and have built.

And yet, the show went on.

That’s what moved me the most.

My community showed up. My colleagues stepped in. They carried the energy, the purpose, and the experience forward without skipping a beat. The Think and Drink community didn’t just survive without me. It thrived. That’s exactly how it should be. Community is the backbone of everything we’ve been building, and what happened that night was proof of that.

Think and Drink is more than a meetup. It’s a space where creators, founders, and professionals connect in meaningful ways. A place where you can network, learn, pitch ideas, and just vibe with like-minded people doing dope things. It’s camaraderie, real support, and collective momentum.

To everyone who stepped up that night, thank you. Thank you for carrying the vision, for showing up for each other, and for proving what this space is really about.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now’s the time.

Everyone should experience this type of community so moving forward Think and Drink is completely free to attend. When we drop the link, don’t hesitate. Sign up and be there. Come see for yourself what community looks like when it’s done right.

Lord willing, I’ll be back and pitching in February, stronger and even more grateful.

Until then, stay connected:

The show went on, and that’s the power of community.
