Details

The world of NFTs and Web3 can feel intimidating to everyday people—but what if learning about it felt as fun and approachable as a night out with friends? That’s where NFTs & Tequila came in. What started as a bold, community-driven idea turned into a highly successful event series that introduced new audiences to blockchain technology in an engaging, no-pressure environment. By pairing education with experience, we created a space where attendees felt comfortable asking questions, networking, and discovering the future of digital ownership.

I led the team, designed graphics, and let the marketing strategy, ensuring we reached the right audience and built meaningful engagement. The event was so impactful that it gained strong brand partnerships, proving the concept worked—and leading to a full-scale rebrand and national tour. This wasn’t just an event; it was the foundation of a movement that made Web3 more accessible and exciting for the everyday person.

Audience: Everyday people who were curious about NFTs and Web3 but found it confusing or intimidating. Investors, nft companies and collectors already involved in NFTs, looking to connect and share knowledge.

Strategy

The biggest challenge with NFTs and Web3 wasn’t the technology—it was the messaging. People were overwhelmed by confusing media narratives, unsure of where to start, and intimidated by the typical conference-style panels and Q&As. The strategy behind NFTs & Tequila was to break down those barriers by designing an event that felt organic, comfortable, and truly interactive. Instead of a formal presentation, we curated a happy-hour-style experience where learning happened naturally, in small group discussions and one-on-one conversations.

To encourage engagement, we strategically planted representatives throughout the event wearing “Let’s Talk About NFTs” shirts, signaling to attendees that they had a safe space to ask their real, unfiltered questions. This format eliminated the fear of speaking up in a crowd and gave people the opportunity to have genuine, pressure-free discussions at their own pace. Attendees who felt more confident after learning received stickers to encourage them to carry the conversation forward, while experienced NFT enthusiasts were also given stickers—creating a seamless, peer-to-peer learning experience.

This wasn’t just an event—it was true event design. Every detail was crafted to ensure trust, accessibility, and engagement, allowing attendees to walk away not just with knowledge, but with confidence. The overwhelming feedback was that for the first time, NFTs actually made sense—and that was the exact impact we set out to create.
